General Description
The design of the new Waste Water Treatment plant provides for a 16,000PE (Population Equivalent) loading with future increases to 24,000PE. Constructed in the Environmentally sensitive marine environment adjacent to Blackwater SAC . The overall volume of the water retaining RC structures is in excess of 8,000m3. A steel frame cladded structure of approx. 170 m2 contains the inlet and dewatering works. Following detailed geotechnical design, 10,129m3 of stone was imported to achieve a viable formation level for the various structures. A total of 274 no. Piles were driven to support the Structure.
